THE WIM PROGRAM

Motorsport Australia is committed to promoting and providing an inclusive environment for its members and potential members. We recognise the need to give every individual the equal opportunity to participate in and experience the joy of motorsport. Whether they are officials, competitors or supporters, our community is built on a diverse array of participants – our differences in culture, gender, age and abilities make us stronger and more exciting.

The Women’s Introduction to Motorsport (WIM) program has been developed for Motorsport Australia affiliated clubs looking to increase women’s participation by engaging, re-engaging, and retaining women across all roles in motorsport. With thousands of women actively involved in motorsport across Australia, clubs need to continue to nurture and create women-friendly environments that will attract and maintain their involvement.

The Western District Car Club is excited to announce the club will be hosting the WIM program, with events being scheduled throughout the year. The club is dedicated to providing a comprehensive and supportive environment for women at all levels of experience. Whether participants are complete beginners or looking to deepen their understanding, this program offers hands-on training, expert guidance, and invaluable insights into the motorsport industry. The club’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and passion for motorsport ensures that each participant has the opportunity to develop their skills and confidence behind the wheel.
